An artist studying BA
(Drawing) at University College Falmouth recently contacted the project after
reading our requests to record our experiences with Bideford Black. Ed Eva,
originally from the North Devon area, consequently hunted down the seam and
gathered a small amount for his own personal use. He has since explored the
pigment as a painting medium, enjoying its matt intensity and flexibility, as a
simple drawing tool and as a printing medium. To find out more about Ed’s fascinating
experiments visit http://edmundeva.wordpress.com/2013/04/
and thanks Ed for sharing your thoughts.
